This week, "App of the Week" becomes "Apps of the Week" thanks to the new "Amazon Underground" app. Through the Amazon Underground app, users now have more than $10,000 worth of paid apps, games, and in-app items that have become fully available... for free.
How does it work? Amazon Underground has adopted a new monetization model that pays app developers based on the amount of time the Amazon Underground app is used. Developers get to skirt the download or in-app fees that is usually how revenue is generated, and instead, get paid by Amazon for backing them. In turn, Amazon Underground users get access to a wide network of apps, within one app alone. Cool, huh?
Don't forget: Amazon has promised Android users many more benefits to come. We can't wait.
