App of the Week - Spoilers Blocker

Spoilers Blocker App

Behind on Game of Thrones? Didn’t have time to catch the new Star Wars in theaters yet? We get you. And we get how tough it can be to go online, knowing that you’re not fully up to date on the latest in pop culture.

One of the most worst moments you can have when reading through a seemingly harmless article is when an unwanted detail about your favorite movie or tv show spoils the big twist or the amazing ending. But of course, there are a few apps on the market that can help you to try to avoid this all-too-common frustration.

One such app is Spoilers Blocker, a game changer that promises to help to “stop spoilers in social media apps.”

How does the app prevent you from reading an article that contains unwanted blurbs about your favorite series or movie?

After downloading the app, users can input specific phrases or keywords that they wish to avoid when reading through an article you come across on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Spoilers Blocker automatically searches for and finds keywords that you’ve selected, ensuring you won’t mistakenly read the ending to that new Netflix series you’ve been obsessed about.

Spoilers Blocker is available for a free download in the Google Play store. There are other spoiler prevention apps on the market worth checking out, as well, including the Unspoiler browser extension for Google Chrome, and the Spoiler Block app, available for iOS and Android devices.

Curious about other phone and tablet apps that can help to make your day-to-day life just a little bit easier? Be sure to follow our tech-savvy team on Facebook or Twitter to hear all the buzz on the latest and greatest.
