Gadget of the Week - PowerWave 7.5 Stand Charger

As many of us (unfortunately) understand from years of smartphone use, all phone chargers are not created equally. Thanks to charging technology company Anker, there’s finally one on the market that has the potential to make up for all that may have disappointed us in the past.

The PowerWave 7.5 Stand is a fast wireless charging option that has made us Geek-out, for a number of reasons. The charger features a sleek look, horizontal and vertical charging capabilities, and an internal cooling fan to make sure your phone charges quickly, without overheating.

If you’re an iPhone user, the PowerWave delivers up to 7.5W; Samsung users will receive 10W.

What’s really cool (pun definitely intended)? The wireless stand charger is angled at 60 degrees, designed for optimal comfort when viewing videos, reading, video chatting, or using the iPhone’s FaceID feature. Thanks to the design of the charger, you’ll be able to keep swiping through social media pages and check emails, even while your phone charges.

With many wireless chargers, charging your phone can be impossible if you want to keep the case on. The PowerWave allows you to avoid the hassle of taking your case on and off each time you place it on the stand to charge. As long are your case is 5mm thick or less, leave the case on!

The PowerWave is compatible with both iPhone and Samsung High-Speed Protocols, though the charger works only with recent models for both phones. Those interested in owning one can purchase their wireless stand charger on Amazon for $49.99.
