Six Ways to Diversify Your Visual Content

So, you've been producing quality content for your blog and feel like you have a solid grasp on tone, style, and SEO.

Taking on a multifaceted visual marketing strategy is the next step in a thoughtful digital marketing campaign. Here are six ways to create rich visual content: 

1. Switch Up Your Sources

Stock images are often boring and too recognizable. Consider using sites like IM FREE, where copyright-free images are exclusive to the website. You won't find these images anywhere else, and your viewers will have something fresh to look at. 

Though you'll have to double-check with your specific image, many photos from places like the Creative Commons are up for editing. Royalty-free images allow for editing, including color, cropping, and larger changes in Photoshop. 

2. Draw Up Your Own Images

If you're new to Photoshop, consider using a training program from a site like Lynda.com to make sure you're using the full range of this software's possibilities.

You can also use your smartphone to create high quality videos. Followers tend to share videos more frequently than pictures, so it's a great opportunity to engage with your audience.  

3. Take Some Photos Yourself

In the spirit of teaching yourself Photoshop, you might also want to take your own pictures. In doing so, you'll be able to make any edits you want and tailor the image to meet your distinct brand. 

4. Make an Infographic

Infographics are an eye-catching blend of text and images. They cut straight to the point, offer valuable information, and give your customers a chance to share your content in a visually-stunning way.

5. Use Visual Quotes

Visual quotes are a different way of combining text with an image. Canva is a cool app that providers users a simple way to create these images, which are ideal for Facebook cover photos and the creation of viral images. 

Bonus Tip: If you choose to quote a favorite author or celebrity, consider tagging them in your tweet of the visual quote. They might repost it and expose your company to an even larger audience!

6. Create Opportunities for Users to Get Involved

Use Facebook and Instagram to hold contests where customers take a picture with your product. "The most creative selfie wins a prize!"
